Audrey Cohen-Marquina SEBS'25

I initially came to Rutgers declaring a Biological Sciences major; however, further research at Rutgers made me realize that Biochemistry better fits me and my career goals. I have always been very interested in Biology; however, during my freshman year, I also enjoyed Chemistry. I aspired to mend my two interests into Biochemistry, which was the perfect fit for my future studies and me. Even though the major comes with challenging courses, I am genuinely interested in the content I am learning and excited to be very well-prepared as a Physician Assistant with my background in biochemistry.
My advice to future students is not to limit yourself and honestly believe you worked for the spot you earned. Yes, the courses might be challenging, but you are smart enough to be learning it. Never doubt your capabilities, and always believe you can and will accomplish anything you want.
