Microbial Biology Final Ph.D. and M.S. Defense Procedure
All required material must be submitted to the Graduate Program Director (GPD) Dr. Jeffrey Boyd at least one week before the following School of Graduate Studies deadlines:
- October 1st for an October-dated degree
- January 6th for a January-dated degree
- April 1st for a May-dated degree

Note that you must have your defense and submit all the paperwork (including your final thesis) by the deadline above. It is very important to make sure that you obtain all the required signatures before the deadline! Your committee must sign and the GPD Dr. Boyd must sign the Defense Form before the deadline. All required materials will be emailed to SGS by the GPD before the final deadline so it is important to get all the required documents to him well before the deadline.
